So the shit hit the fan at my web host this morning.

After a long, torturous string of emails with “tech support” (and I use the term as loosely as possible) it seems to have been established that a rack of servers went down last night, and somehow this resulted in the corruption of this here blog’s database. There was a backup, but that backup was not done last night (of course.) So my post from yesterday, which of course was by far my best one to date (IMHO) has apparently been permanently lost. Shit.

At this point, my only hope is that Google cached the post yesterday, and in a few days it’ll turn up on their SERPS and I can copy from the cached page back into the database. But by then, nobody will care (assuming they ever did in the first place.)

In the meantime, I guess there’s not much I can do except to recycle the buffalo wings pic and post a Guest Commentary thread. Hopefully this one will work a little better than the last one. Baby steps….
