Just to reiterate a good point you made: Most of those 400 yards vs. Philly were “garbage” yards because Gregg Williams smartly called off the blitzers and pretty much let Kolb have the underneath stuff until the red zone.

It successfully milked the clock and continued to sit on the big lead. I think the secondary is really playing lights out because there hasn’t been much of a pass rush, save for the the blitzes that were dialed up.

Yes, I think it is real but I’d still like to see what this defense can do against better qbs.

I want us to go 14-2 and run the table in the playoffs so that I can finally go spit on Bill Walsh’s and Bobb McKittrick’s cut-blocking graves with a clear conscience.

The difference is that Sean Payton now drinks from the fount of beating other teams in football by hitting them in the mouth.
