I think going for the kill was 2 messages all rolled into one play.
1 – We are going 16-0 and not taking the foot off the pedel.
2 – ok Defense. You have done pretty much nothing all day this is my wake up and make something happen notice to you. We make this and you get to walk outta here thinking you did an ok job. We dont make it and you better step up and PLAY some defense or we lose the game.

Your “this team is beatable” comments after the Skins game hold true here. The affects of the injuries to the defense are evident with Campbell and Redman’s success. Even Sharper looked slow and not on his game. And still this team was good enough to beat a desperate, fired-up Falcon team in their house.
We’re going to get back to early season health and success status in time for the playoffs. One step closer to securing home field for the playoffs.
As for Reggie, he has a value to this team. Having at least two of the three backs available for each game has been a winning formula.
Kinda on the fence about the fake field goal attempt. Leaning towards liking that Payton went for the kill.

It’s great to have moosedenied back. The site is looking better than ever. Great job.

Yeah Atlanta games are never easy to call given the rivalry. Anything can happen on any given day. I would just like to get out of town with a win and no more injuries so we can claim that homefield advantage and give any players with niggles the extra time they need to get healthy instead of rushing back.

I’ve down to fighting weight now that I’ve had a softball cut out of my abdomen. Percocet is the word of the day while I watch one of the few games I actually get to see on tv all the time being in the crappy atlanta market.
I don’t know about the 16-0. Does it take too much emotion to sustain that all the way? I mean, if we had to lose one, I’d much rather it be regular season, yah? Perhaps I am just delirious from post-surgical pain.
And Brees will be King Bacchus. That must mean something.

No, they brand you with “fuck Atlanta” right in the delivery room down here.
Atlanta games always make me nervous, but this isn’t the same Atlanta team we faced just a few weeks ago.
And I know they stunk back there, but with Payton dumping one of our aging Irish corners, I’ve gotta wonder what the hell he’s got up his sleeve now.

I’d love to believe you, but karma doesn’t play cornerback. I will happily settle for whatever gets us to the no. 1 NFC seed and a healthy Greer and Porter by 1/1/2010.
