So this is what it’s come to, eh? My dumb ass has (un)officially stepped into what the cool kids seem to be calling the “blogosphere.” 

(Mock applause fills the internet) 

I suppose there are worse ways to waste large chunks of my time. And I’ve already got most of those others covered, so why the hell not? Right? Isn’t that the prevailing attitude going in?

I have no idea where I’m planning to go with this. I imagine I will sporadically post masturbatory missives on such subjects as the New Orleans Saints, LSU Football and whatever else might capture my attention at any given time. And I’m sure a lot of time will be spent apologizing profusely to poor souls who may occasionally happen upon this little corner of the web. That ought to be fun.

On the other hand, I do fancy myself some kind of (hack) comedian, so with any luck, maybe I’ll pull a funny or two out of my ass every once in a while, and some spider or other will copy it to some site I’ve never heard of, and presto! An audience that could fill up a Mazda Miata. Bitchin’.

That’s how this kind of thing works, right?

If you’re a Saints fan, you’ll usually find me over at Saintsreport. This blog really only exists so that I can “work blue” which is one hell of a selling point for me. A damn hell ass selling point! That, and it’s a good way to indulge in the whole IT’S ALL ABOUT ME thing, being as, unlike most others, I refuse to make my real life the place for such an indulgence.

So I suppose at some point there will be some truly brilliant content spewed haphazardly upon these here pages. That is, assuming I’m not actually the huge dope that, deep down, I already know that I am. Then again, aren’t huge dopes the stars of this here blogosphere? Or at least the overwhelming majority? That’s pretty much the way I understand it. Boss. I don’t know if I’ve ever been part of a majority (the fact that I am an American white male notwithstanding.)

Meantime, can anybody define “zeitgeist” for me? Far as I can tell, it’s some kind of sphere.
