Here at moosedenied.com, we have few friends.

Which is why that when someone tolerates us enough to make us believe that they may, in fact, be our friend, we like to acknowledge their accomplishments. It kind of makes us feel like big shots. Or something.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, DA S~L~O~B Brothers celebrated their first anniversary of not being driven batshit insane by the cricket noises and passing tumbleweeds of this here Blogosphere. And while we think that Pico really ought to consider cutting his hair, and Derrick might oughta button his shirt and fix his fly, we also think their blog is fucking fantastic. And surely we’re not alone.

This is what blogging is all about. I think. Smart, smooth, sometimes just plain silly. These dudes are on a whole ‘nother level. We’ve even learned to forgive them for being perpetually over our heads. Pretty sure it was right around the time they decided to do a writeup on The Cure.

These guys have, in one year, managed to score interviews with various notables, be referenced by the Washington Fuckin’ Post and… um… find a legitimate reason to post this picture. (Oh my.)

So we’ll forgive them their slovenly appearance, and instead issue them some well-deserved props for doing what they do. And doing it in a pretty damned impressive fashion, at that.
