And as one who has limited actual sports playing experience, much less "high stakes" sports events, even if I had kicked off in college or done lots of onsides kicking, I'd still be sucking air  and reaching for a paper bag to breathe into if I was called on to do it in the SB and then had to sit through a whole half time before doing it. You know, right after I posted my comment about it, I thought maybe that’s what you might have meant to say…

]]> By: Thankuboys http://www.moosedenied.com/the-finest-hour/#comment-11527 Thankuboys Wed, 17 Feb 2010 22:44:52 +0000 http://www.moosedenied.com/?p=2253#comment-11527 I was so overwhelmed with chills while reading this post, that I literally had to take breaks.  I can't imagine another Pro-team ever playing with more soul, heart, and passion than this New Orleans Saints team.  As a lifetime competitive athlete, its easy to see and understand the sincerity behind these players, and what they played for.  Money didn't matter and egos didn't matter...even Reggie who is used to being THE TEAM (collegiate), put the team ahead of self.  Why?  Because they got it.  They all "got it".  Unbelievable...literally. Then I thought things were settling down, and you go and post this and ALMOST cause the tears again. Almost.  But I'm toughter than that, because Sean Payton coaches my football team. If I were going to post again on that topic, it would be to note that great writing like this, combined with a great understanding of football, New Orleans, and what the Saints mean to us, can also be a source of tears. Okay, so I just did a blog post trying to figure out why I cried so much over the past few weeks.
