If you play the CNS right when you start reading, it's totally like the Dark Side of Oz. Do it backwards and you'll get the scoop on Mueller.
Seriously good stuff. "Fired Haslett" should be "Hired Payton," though.

 You trying to get me sued?

Officially, I know nothing. All I know is what I heard, and to me, it made enough sense that I decided to believe it. I'd have to be an idiot though to talk about it on a blog that's open to public viewing, especially considering some of the specific sets of eyes I've been told would be likely to see it.

Sorry to go all Kenny Wilkerson on you there, I just kind of assumed most everybody heard the scuttlebutt at the time and would immediately know exactly what I was referring to. But to elaborate would be among the stupidest things I've ever done. And I've done some REALLY stupid shit.

Great list. Great reasoning. My order just based on the emotion of the moments:
1- Rebirth - Falcons vs. Saints. Best day of my life. My "get the chills" day one.
2- Hakim drops the ball - got a call the morning of the game with my nieces boyfriend that I barely knew. The football gods were smiling on me that day. "Chills" moment two.
3- Signing of Brees - was worried about the shoulder, never thought he'd be awesome dude he is. Love being wrong about this one.
4- Saints deal to stay to 2025 - agree with Johnny's theory, but that's me.
5 - Eagles playoff victory - really thought we'd beat the Bears the next week.
6- Drafting Reggie, Colston and Evans.
7 - This season
8- 10 Firings

Huang, I can't argue with anything on this list, although I might move #6 (The Night of Dulymus and Her) further up--perhaps #3.
I will argue with one thing: don't ever feel inadequate for not having been in the Dome on September 25, 2006. I was there, in Section 635, sitting betwixt Dr. Ashley Morris and my brother, and I NEVER tire of hearing people's experience of that moment and that game--no matter where they were. Stand proud, sir. You were watching, with as much intensity as anybody anywhere, and you were hoping for the correct result.

Wonderful article Grandmaster. But why end the decade a year and a week or so before it actually ends? The NFL bases its calendar on the 00-09 system, but reality would have it that the decade ends on December 31 of the "0" year. As in 1980 isn't really in the 1980's but the tenth year of the 1970's. Of course you could arbitrarily make the decade any successive 10 year period you wanted to. And I'm not going to bag on you for doing that. But the 0 years, aughts, 2000's, ykwhatevers don't really end for another year. And hopefully you'll have a new #1 and #2 by the time we get there. :9:

Completely disagree with your number 1. Doesn't belong in top 10. The NFL essentially demanded the Bensons keep the franchise in the state. The recent work of the Governor's office and RiTom LeBlenson is underhanded giveaways from the state (giveaways I'm completely satisfied with as a huge fan who just wants the Saints to stay here, but could never call "the best moment of the decade).
Everything else should be moved up 1 space and number 10 should be a video of Aaron Brooks on loop fumbling pass attempts untouched. After his 2000 playoffs heroics, it took quite a bit for Saints fans to realize we needed a new quarterback, and damn did those ridiculous slips of the hands mean a lot to this franchise. Imagine if he would have thrown for 3500 or so yards, 22 tds, 20 interceptions and 9-10 wins a season and a playoff loss every year. We'd still be fucked today. None of those assholes would have been fired. The Saints probably wouldn't even be in the city.
